To the Parents
Before you make the decision to enrol for our courses please ask yourself the following 3 questions:
1. Can you spare between 1-2 hours a week to sit with your child and listen to his/her practise taking active part in the process?
2. Are you willing to expand your own interests and learn some basic musical concepts and music Theory with your child?
3. Can you afford from £300 per term for development of your child’s intelligence and memory?
Only if the answer to all 3 questions is yes you should proceed further.
There are common issues that parents ought to be familiar with and make sure that pupils have suitable environment for practise and are prepared for each lesson:
You need your instrument to be working at all times and maintained regularly.
Piano pupils should have the bench or stool high enough for them to sustain proper position.,
Fingernails ought to be cut short – lesson can be cancelled if the long nails are preventing the pupil from playing properly.
TUPTUB has to be checked by parents every week and written tasks should be prepared.
Concert performance is a vital part of the curriculum and participation in school assemblies is encouraged.
Books have to be purchased at the enrolment day and when entering the examination program. It is parents responsibility that pupil has ALL books:
1) TUPTUB
2) Theory Made Easy
3) Sight reading
4) Pieces Book ( for exam)
